Night linehaul driver out of UDV(Denver) terminal. Does anyone have any info on the new terminal they broke ground on in Lakeland Florida? Possibly interested in transferring down once they open later this year. Any info on possible line-haul runs out of there would be appreciated. TIA

This 31,713 square-foot facility is being constructed on approximately eight acres of property near Interstate 4 and Commonwealth Avenue. The new service center is expected to open for business in the second quarter of 2024, bringing 60 doors to the thriving I-4 corridor including Tampa, Orlando and Lakeland.

When completed, the company expects to employ approximately 75 people in the Lakeland service center.

The real question is..Would UDV allow you to transfer? That barn has been an on and off ::::shit:::: show for years.
Good question. They could make it difficult to transfer out. Or maybe an easy out but resistance on the other end getting in.

Figure on runs to Tallahassee and Orlando FACs and a good possibility for a couple meet and turn locations.

We’re fully staffed now, so now is a good time to get out :chuncky:
Here's the thing. First you must fill out an application to the Lakeland barn, Lakeland must have an open position for you to fill, you then be offered the job from the Lakeland barn. After all that then you SCM must approve the transfer. So if you get through all those steps your SCM can sabotage the whole plan by denying the transfer. Good luck. It's all spelled out in the handbook
