Extra board system is outdated...like you stated only a few drivers wouldn’t like more home timeI wish it to be so, who wants to be out all week just a select few.

The laydown bids are the ones that don't make any sense to me. They all have meets on the fifth day so why not just make it meet and turns 5 days in a row?
Well, that sounds like something that should be addressed thenFreight arrival times are much worse on the meets. Simple.

Heard they were moving Greensboro terminal to Kernersville..
Does Rob own that particular Yrc terminal?Take the YRC terminal and give them Greensboro. That terminal is too small and no room to expand. Please we have the local police watching our drivers all the time

It would definitely be better utilization of the trucks, everyone likes to have their own Truck but, hey, Most other companies slip seat City andWith all the e-dock stuff they've added everywhere and the P&D drivers entering pickups in the peoplenet, there's really no reason to run extraboard the way they do. Figure out the tonnage going each way and set up extra meets. Instead we have drivers passing each other every night. Imagine the hotel savings, not to mention tying up a $100k tractor all day at a hotel.
Where is this happening at ?Since when did going to the hotel mean they won't use your truck? They'll go to the hotel and take it and either bring it back to the wrong hotel or keep it way past your 10.

Schedule turn Driver's trucks. They would save a ton of money much less Motel cost.
$35 a room is not hurting the company, compared to using a fleet of sleeps or adding more bunk rooms to all the terminals we have. OD, FedEx, UPS, ABF drivers don’t share a truck. Everyone has an assigned truck. The smaller LTL companies slip seat.
$35 doesn't sound like a lot, but when you figure (conservatively) 500 drivers a day, that adds up to over 4 million dollars a year.
I know that layovers will always be a part of this, my only point in bringing this up is to say there are definitely some efficiencies to be had if management would use the tools we have more effectively.
