XPO | NLK (Lakeland, FL) new terminal

Anyone know anything about this? You may have seen the press release; they broke ground back in October I believe but are hiring DWs right now so not sure what that means. A search of the company directory in the app yields only one name, presumably the SCM. Do they typically ask drivers in the region if they’d like to transfer before posting openings? I entertained the idea for about half a day for my old lady’s sake, but doesn’t seem like great place to live and there’s lots of traffic.

My parents moved to Lakeland back in the 80's..... For me a Yankee. . It's a nice place to visit.

When my father passed away I moved to Lakeland to be with and help my mother out.

I couldn't wait to move back home up north.

A side note....

Back in the 70's my father took his construction company to Lakeland in the winter. He built the roads, sewer, water lines.... Footers for all the buildings at Sanlan Ranch campground. It's on 98 south of the center of town... On the way to Bartow.

Probably in town now.

The land was 1300 acres.... A lot of it was not developed yet.

My family vacation ever winter there.

After trying to live there... I've never went back.... Not even to anywhere in Florida.

As you say , different , that is why the North and South look different. Everybody looks the same in both and definitely drives the same in both with the exception of NYC

I hope you like sitting in heavy traffic! Interstate 4 is mess in either direction. I would suggest you find housing near your domicile. Good luck in Florida!
