NY City,NY.Can't find much on this Fatal, looks like UPS Semi crashed into a Fedex Van

Thanks Jack Knife but the link you just posted,is confusing.
What is wrong with these on-line news services to not report more details?

The problem is the stories are contradicting one another. Having spent time with UPS and knowing how they operate and seeing how the average Fedex Ground driver flies down the highway, my guess is story #2 is closest to being accurate.

Hmmm.I first saw this on the net I did a search for more.
But got to thinking that two well known brands such as Fedex & UPS really hate to see bad press.
So they do what they can to keep these reports out of the news.

My understanding from coworkers is the UPSF truck was rear ended by the FedEx. FedEx driver ejected and killed as the story said. The UPSF truck was bobtailing.

Roadrunner73,thank you for clearing up the questions on this crash.
The on-line reporting on this crash was terrible in my opinion.

From the looks of the photos of the 2 units there didn't look like much damage.
Had the Fedex driver been buckled in,I am sure he would have still been with us.

Sure Apo. I happened to be in the home terminal of the UPSF driver involved as the company was getting the info. I just passed along what I learned. I agree, wearing a seat belt and he would have walked away from the accident.
