Transportation, and logistics giant, Coop Dispatch is testing equipment developed by Patel Engineering of semi tractors, and trailers only 50 inches wide, but 21’ tall. Spokesperson Big Dave claims not only will the narrower trailers prevent shifting of freight, they will be able to deck skids 3-4 high. He also pointed out the Tesla designed narrow tractor, equipped with sensor activated mirrors that automatically fold in if it senses a construction zone or close object. He stated Coop Technolgy was working on finding suitable routes for the equipment to legally operate on, but it was not yet clear when they would be operating.
