MANSFIELD -- Friday was a busy day for the Mansfield post of the Ohio Highway Patrol as troopers responded to three major accidents.

Around 5:30 a.m., a truck owned by Central Transport and driven by 44-year-old Alan Blazek went off the right side of the road on Interstate 71 southbound, seven miles south of Ohio 97. Troopers said Blazek fell asleep.

Trooper Brian Kelley said the truck struck a guard rail and several trees before falling into a creek bed. Blazek suffered minor injuries.

It is a bad feeling when you wake up and you are not in control of your rig. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt too

*from the caption on the photo: The driver had minor injuries, and diesel fuel from a gas tank spilled.*
now i have to ask... who puts diesel fuel in a gas tank? or am i just expecting too much from a local news outfit?
