What do u guys a mile now and what about drop and hook pay
2 more personal days per year and 2 cents per mile

I thought SE got there raise in the summer. Did ya'll get one early this year?
I agree and without sounding too negative SEFL pays less and expects more, that's why they push their "culture" at all our IQ meetings. They're wanting us to go above and beyond for them but they won't go above and beyond for us, only within the parameters of our compensation package. Case in point, had to wait two hours for a hotel room. Arrived at final destination point (with only 293 miles) at 6 am. Was shuttled to a hotel only to be told, on my arrival, a room would not be available until 8am. I felt that my time was valuable so since part of our culture was "valuing people completely," Linehaul would have no problem paying me 2 hours, right?. WRONG! I was told "it's not in your compensation package." My point is, Sefl wants you to go above and beyond what's required (quality, right) but they limit it for us what our compensation package only requires in return. If they truly believed in the culture they preach everyday, the answer would have been absolutely, we will pay you 2 hours, what's your employee number? We are paid well, but when you factor in the workload sefl puts on its city drivers then we are underpaid versus the competition.
I know this will rankle many in other ltl companies, but its observation based on 1st hand information from drivers at other carriers. Sefl will work a driver harder than any other carrier (more deliveries/pickup stops per day; handfreight levels high with inside deliveries) yet doesn’t compensate us accordingly. My opinion is that if you expect more then you should pay more. Not the case here
