You would be correct, atleast we all know who our real friends are now.
I'll also agree that the working environment is fine...and I'll also add that many believe it was fine before any of the organizational efforts...and yes, many new friendships have been made, but who knows how "real" those new friendships are?

To the Original Poster....I'm sure they didn't mean to hi-jack your post and they are working really really hard together to come up with some meaningful answers to your question. It's a brain-trust that needs a bit of time to focus on other's needs rather than stewing their own. Distractions have to be expected with all this knowledge just oozing out. It's not your hairspray killing the ozone and dicking with the global warming, it's the steam generated from their grey-matter that's doing it.
 
I transferred to clt last summer and its one of the best decisions I've made. Seeing as you're from Chicago the traffic shouldn't bother you. If you are friendly you will make friends...that's anywhere you go. Do what you're told without any lip and everything thing will be fine. If you let mgmt run over you or smart mouth you the result will be the same here or at any location...misery. I was born and raised in Chicago and I AINT NEVER GOIN BACK !
