I left FXF IND last June. I reapplied 3/4 weeks ago and never heard anything. I was w/the co. over 9 years,accident-free. I left to peruse the American Dream. The American Dream is dead. So i applied for a [road] position and haven't heard anything. In the mean-time i got a linehaul position at Old Dominion. OD is very cool. They operate old-school and treat drivers as [drivers]. No dock,term to term or meets only. Even the management is laid-back. The HR man is the coolest. However, if FXF called me tomorrow i would run back fast. I know us drivers get discouraged really quick, but FXF is the strongest ltl carrier out here now and probably forever. The grass isn't greener believe me from the other side.
While i was at FXF alot of guy's didn't care for me. I wasn't trying to be an ahole....just a realist. THIS IS THE REAL......YOU MEN HAVE A JOB THAT IS DESIRED BY EVERYONE. Me included. THE GRASS ISN'T GREENER GENTLEMEN.ONLY MORE TOLERABLE.
