But...they spent $300 million on equipment in 2020, most of which built and delivered to YELL in 2021.

It's reasonable to think that some decent value would exist in the rolling stock unless they leased all the power equipment.

Dont know how true it is but did hear some of their new equipment was leased

Last I heard less then 1000 are leased, probably what was delivered in late 19 through 2020.
There are some leased trailers also not sure which series though.

Our terminal uses the city trucks as hostler trucks. I drove a road unit a few days ago and it wasn’t terrible. Detroit motor, 12 speed automatic, pretty weak but it rode well. No passenger seat or radio. I’ve driven much worse but I was happy to get my truck back.

Estes and now ODFL are only interested in property. It is very difficult to get an LTL Terminal passed in many areas.
Guess the 24/7 operation is not something many towns want.
This has nothing to do with reopening Yellow, no company would even entertain that thought.
The brand is now toxic.
