Hate to tell you, but it really doesn't matter how you vote. The new law gives them the ability to implement whatever changes they want to, I'm not really sure why they're even letting us vote, they don't need our approval.Talking about pension vote

While I agree with you I recommend that all who are eligible cast their vote. If you don't it looks like nobody cares and apathy will get the best of all of us. The fight is still being fought.Hate to tell you, but it really doesn't matter how you vote. For a false sense of hope, if you're a local 710 or 705 worker you know all too well your vote means nothing.
While the battle to maintain the benefits of MEPFs continues, the solution will be legislative. If you think that an overwhelming rejection of the proposal from CSPF will stop the process your quite mistaken. It is a national problem, and the solution, if there is one will come from Washington, DC. not from Rosemont, IL. The Congress passed and the President signed the "Cromnibus" bill. The language that allows reductions in benefits is contained in that bill. While I agree with you I recommend that all who are eligible cast their vote. I think you are right but we still need to vote just maybe it will help .Hate to tell you, but it really doesn't matter how you vote. The new law gives them the ability to implement whatever changes they want to, I'm not really sure why they're even letting us vote, they don't need our approval.
That makes me feel better because I'm sure DC. will come up with a swell solution. Thanks!!While the battle to maintain the benefits of MEPFs continues, the solution will be legislative. A bill repealing that portion of the bill is the ONLY way that reductions in benefits will be avoided.

I always knew, deep down inside you're an optimist! As i said your vote meanings nothing. And now i understand why most of the teamsters never bothered to vote.
So.......I was enlightened to a possible different pension cut plan.A 10% cut in pension pay outs for 10years At the end of the ten year plan.Recalculate and if feasible come up with a 30 year plan.
So.......
How does one recalculate Zero?
What a waste of time. Siri isn't as smart as bigtruk_us and he already has enlightened us on a solution!
I not worried how smart she isWhat a waste of time. Siri isn't as smart as bigtruk_us and he already has enlightened us on a solution!
There is only one presidential candidate who has tried to put that bill up for a vote. Feel the Bern! While the battle to maintain the benefits of MEPFs continues, the solution will be legislative.
