Two injured in major big rig crash on I-95 in Florida

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating a serious semi truck crash that occurred in Brevard County late Wednesday night.

The crash occurred around 11 p.m. on April 26 on southbound I-95 at mile marker 196.

Brevard County Fire Rescue said that one person was extricated and airlifted to the hospital. A second person was transported to a hospital by ambulance.

Hazmat crews responded to a diesel fuel leak caused by the crash.

It isn’t clear yet what led to the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by FHP.
