What must a motor carrier do with unassigned driving records from an electronic logging device (ELD)?
A motor carrier must either explain why the time is unassigned or assign the time to the appropriate driver. The motor carrier must retain unidentified driving records for at least six months as a part of its hours of service (HOS) ELD records and make them available to authorized safety officials.

What is going on here is the company assigning these events to anybody? Every time I log in there is over a hundred+ unidentified driving events. These hostlers need to have an ELD logged in Yard move when are they are moving all these trucks. Even if when you don't claim these events it still ads them to your log or as diagnostic malfunction unidentified driving events look at your logs in inspector mode would we be considered in violation?
