CHICAGO, July 18 (Reuters) - Trucking and logistics company Con-Way Inc. (CNW.N: Quote, Profile, Research) on Tuesday reported higher quarterly profit, citing a solid pricing environment and rising margins, coming in above market expectations.
The San Mateo, California-based company said its second-quarter net income totaled $74.1 million, or $1.40 per share, compared with $66.8 million, or $1.20 per share a year earlier.
Analysts, on average, expected profit of $1.25 per share, according to Reuters Estimates.
