$1.98 and a can of beans would have sufficed.
I am guessing a jury will award much more, but also know the insurance will probably make her an offer so this will not even make it to court.
After 5 years of delays to get into court.
That case looks pretty much open and closed.
I have seen open and shut cases drag out in the courts for years. Insurance companies have expert lawyers specializing in dragging cases out to the last minute before they have to pay. The plaintiff could die within 5 years then they pay nothing.
