I think I mentioned a while back that the Beatles were fans of Carl Perkins & several Memphis musicians with the simple lyrics like in this song & other songs like 'Matchbox. Carl was a guest of the Beatles on an island they owned. The area is also known for several Blues musicians. There is an annual King Biscuit Blues Festival in the Arkansas delta town of Helena. King Biscuit was an original advertiser on the local station many years ago. The festival honors the Delta Blues musicians. Lyrics in the song 'Walking in Memphis mentions the 'Land of the Delta blues.
