I was told we were running a hub on New Years eve the op's manager even looked it up in front of me and it wasn't listed as being a day off. This was about a month ago.
I have taken 3 days off w/o pay in the last month. The only thing I was told was that if someone with vac/personal time available also wanted that day, i would be bumped, or I would have to use my vac hours available. works for me--
for right now i will trust what the main fedex page says before any manager. they never make the decision to change until the last minute.
I doubt anyone will work christmas eve. They haven't surveyed the customers yet to see what their holiday schedules are yet. Either Thursday and Friday off, or Friday and Monday off, depending on the majority of the customers. My guess would be Thursday and Friday, with the following Friday for NEW YEARS.
I will be off those 50 weeks also!!

I was told the only ones working Christmas Eve DAY will be the Linehaulers doing the hub on the 23rd and whatever it takes to shut the hub down. JUST LIKE SATURDAYS.
Saw the official notice. Also found out that since last years new years eve force work was a clossial failure we aren't working it this year.

The schedule is up and we are not working Xmas Eve or the memo indicates Purchase Trucks. I am so confused.
