FedEx Freight | Rally up!!!!!

why bother this a teamster board, same 20 guys posting same old crap, with not a leg to stand on but yet they still go on on and on. bla bla bla
Funny how 2 or 3 guys keep saying this same thing. You notice they're the only ones liking each other's post. They should get together and love on each other with some Kentucky jelly.

Charlotte Supports You NEWARK !

will we get more dunkin donuts and coffee for monday and tuesday meetings?can we request biscuits?i wonder what sweet treats other centers are getting?they treat us like 8yo children, give us sweet treats and make us watch scary movies, they might try bare bottom spankings next for a no vote."you will vote no or get a spanking" do you hear me young man.

Purchase Transportation subsidizes your compensation. Since they work cheap the money they don't make goes toward your wages and benefits (and stock price, dividend). They also bring freight for city drivers to deliver. I don't mind that they use the railroad. The reason I don't like PT is one word, exploitation. They take advantage of the drivers. How can it be that we can't find drivers but PT can? Today's paradox.

Hello, I am one of the drivers at the VBC location. This facility is pretty big. 80 dock whse and in a very good location. All drivers were contractors like me . They had only dock workers and office guys as fedex employees. Being a new faculty and maybe not enough profits they have decided to shut it down just to set an example for everyone else . Still no word who will haul the freight and what will happen to the new facility . Very bad decision to go Union here at least . Don't know about other centres in the US

Seems a bit odd you decided to use the "Rally Up" thread to make this post instead of the thread about the "closing" of your terminal. I am going to go put my boots on now because its getting very deep in here....

You may have missed this chart I put together in another thread that compares benefits vs PT. It does not appear to be subsidizing our compensation very well.

Hello , when the news of closure broke out the management said its because of losses. Ok that's understandable . But when this depot was under construction and everyone was trying to get in at that time the news was that they don't want Union no matter what and that's why ALL the drivers were owner / ops.
Now which statement is true I don't know . All the trucks were busy but one thing is that whse was half used ie 40/80 docks we thought they might get busier in future . But company like fedex doesnt take miscalculated risk opening a 80 dock facility soon to find out it won't work and close down . I have no intention to support or disagree with Union . But in my opinion it's the union which triggered the closure and now all 20 plus drivers will be out of jobs. Most had 2-3 brand new semis including myself .

Took the words right out of my mouth. We got pts running along side us back and forth everywhere everyday. PT should be cancelled first when volume is down. And extra board should fill the gaps first.
Doesn't work like that.Without a Contract.Your extra board will sit at home. With nothing you can do about it.grievances etc...With a contract you all have more protection.Depending on what is negotiated and what you all vote for.
