CALHOUN COUNTY, Miss. — At least three adults died when a Mississippi school bus full of high school students collided head-on with an 18-wheeler Tuesday afternoon in Calhoun County, NBC station WTVA of Tupelo reported.
Fewer than 10 students were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said, lowering their initial estimates that more than 60 were hurt.
The big-rig driver was among the dead, Mississippi Department of Public Safety spokesman John Kalahar told The Associated Press.
