I don't like those numbers at all. Declining volume and income with increased labor costs thru benefits. Ouch.
Notes from the boardroom:
Those damn benfits are always keeping us from making more money. Instead of making $29 million profit we only made $25 million. If only we could figure out how to have a workforce that recieved no benefits at all. Just think about how large are bonus would be then. The value of our stock options would soar ladies and gentleman and we would all be wealthier than we already are. Put your thinking caps on and lets see if we can come up with a plan to make all our hopes and dreams become reality.
It's called Obamacare. One more year and they will dump us all.
it is called subservice, put more on big boesNotes from the boardroom:

the fine will be cheaper then the insurance do the math trucker...They have never been under any obligation to give us healthcare benefits and yet they do. Under the Affordable Care Act they will be under a legal obligation to offer healthcare benefits or pay a fine. Why stop offering health benefits in 2014?

Lets raise are rates in a downturn. Why not have a couple more teams to discuss more ways to waste money. Maybe close more terminals so we can hire more management positions. Sorry but they make me nervous when it gets a little slow.
The fine is only 3K per employee. Well less than what the company spends per individual on health care.
Prior to 2014 there is NO fine for not offering health insurance so why not get rid of it now?
Because if they eliminated health care today, tomorrow we would all be pulling someone elses freight. It would be an instant shutdown/walkout. No one is gonna tolerate going home to their wife and saying they have no health care.
