CA.Fatal Pickup/Semi Crash

Story.jpg

Thank you Dockworker ... you are the man :Banane01::notworthy:

They estimate a 60+ mph crash.
Witnesses pulled her out of the vehicle. I'm not sure if that was a good idea.

I think her body is under the yellow tarp.

There is no yellow tarp in this picture.

Speed ??

Crossed all lanes and slammed into parked commercial vehicle....
Speed estimated to have been 60MPH.....
The authorities "believe" speed may have been a factor.....
Wonder what gave them the first clue??
Depth of penetration or the parts of the rig taken out.

Pretty scary how she hit the left corner of the parked truck and spun around it.
It almost looks like a t-bone.
No doubt it was total speed.

I am guessing the driver was pulled over to use a map after getting off the freeway?

That sure doesnt look like a 60 MPH zone, perhaps 45-50 MPH I'd be my guess.

Hope the driver is alright. Hills/Science Diet Pet Foods is a good company to work for, or at least they were when I drove for them.

I have to say it was probably at least on other factor other than speed.
I think not being focused on her path of travel may have also been an issue.
I'd say speed is what did all of the damage and took her life.
But a vehicle the size of this semi she hit, should have been large enough of an object to have been seen a good way back if she was watching where she was going.

Of course all of the details to this crash may never be known with the driver taking the real cause of why this happened to her grave.

A lesson to all drivers you are better off obeying the posted speed limit, but above all else be rested and keep your mind on what your doing at all times.

Amen

Amen to that instruction....
