Social Security now sends statements out every 5 years about 3 months before your birthday. I just happened to receive mine the other day and noticed that there was no reported income from New Penn for 2014. For some reason they failed to report my full years Social Security wages for that year.
I now have to go to my local SS office and bring them a copy of my W-2 for 2014 to prove my wages for that year.
I have no idea if this is an isolated incident or others had the same problem. If I had not gotten my SS statement I would have never known. You may want to check your own statement to make sure you received the proper credit.
You can create an account online with the Social Security Administration and check your own reported earnings there.

Good luck!!. I called SS and reported the problem. They took all kinds of information down. I was on the phone with them for probably 30-40 minutes. At the end of the call I was told I would have to bring my W-2 to the local SS office to verify the information and give them a copy. I've gone to the local office twice and the waiting area was chock full both times and what looked like an hours long wait so I walked out both times. I can't spend half a day sitting in the SS office because of a New Penn screw up!!!
Got a cal into SS now. Waiting for them to get back to me

Mine says zero also.. I would think if this is a company error. Then it should be their responsibility to fix it. Going to check with our payroll lady tomorrow and see what she can find out.

Once you file this year? What does 2015 earnings have to do with the 2014 earnings the company reported?
The company reports earnings. SSI doesn't go by what we file.

I can see that being the case for 2015 earnings but not 2014. Im wondering if payroll thought you were talking about 2015 earnings instead of 2014.

I'm sitting at the SS office right now waiting for them to open. I will update everyone after I talk to them.

    *****UPDATE******
Just left the SS office. I showed them my 2014 W-2 and the manually entered the information. I'm all set.
Good luck to everyone else with the same problem. Sounds like New Penn really screwed this up.

SS earnings reports should now be updated. Evidently you don't have to file for2015. I haven't filed yet. Just checked my online SS report and it is now up to date.
