Trucker and employees pledge funds to help city, workers rebuild

Transportation and logistics giant Con-way will send $200,000 to help tornado survivors rebuild in Joplin, Mo., the home of its Con-way Truckload division.

The $5 billion company will donate $100,000 to disaster relief efforts, and a second $100,000 to a separate fund set up for Con-way employees in Joplin.

The company also set up the Con-way Truckload Employee Tornado Relief Fund. To date, Con-way employees nationwide have pledged nearly $100,000 to the fund, as well as donating household goods and other relief supplies.
