Just wondering if anyone had time to add up the numbers on this change of operations to see if it was a net loss or in it gain overall?
That last line should read; was it a net loss or net gain overall? Unable to edit for some reason.Just wondering if anyone had time to add up the numbers on this change of operations to see if it was a net loss or in it gain overall?

Dock/hostler lose 78 but gain 84 utility for a net gain of 6.
Road lose 263 but gain 268 for a net gain of 5
Mechanics lose 43 but gain 43 for a net of even.
This from the proposed COO dated July 25, 2017.
One of the main reasons, I'm being told, is to reduce the hotel costs.I don't see any reason for this change when the company is utilizing PTS for short haul runs for example Atlanta to Jackson Ms.and Dallas Tx to Jackson Ms.plus more in other areas.
I don't believe all that. When the company keeps paying 65000.00 a week in grievances on the same stuff but keeps on doing it again (PTS)One of the main reasons, I'm being told, is to reduce the hotel costs.
This change alone will save between 2 and 3 million in hotel expenses.

PurchasedBigtruk, would you care to document or provide proof that the company is paying $65,000 per week in grievances? Otherwise we might get the idea that this is just another of your recurring PTS nightmares.
Lol.Purchased

Syndrome
Exactly.Whats 65000.00 a week if they are making many truckloads of money.Yes I am concerned to a certain degree about PTS.I see them running short haul with PTS across our primaries direct.Dallas direct to Jackson and Atlanta direct to Jackson.I know there are drivers available to run the exact same thing. Then pay drivers layover pay by PTS running short haul direct.Lol.
They pay the money out cause it the easy thing to do.
Just like damage claims.
Easier to pay the claims than load it right.
Just company logic.
Yrc is still operating with a mentality that we are still moving 80,000 bills a day. This change coming up will not address moving the 41,000 bills a day they now handle any faster than it moves now. Still will involve handling freight same amount of times, which will not improve service,or diminish claims...This change is going to cost me at least 10 K annually.
I don't like it ,but, I understand it. Most of our competitors have been operating this way for years.
Eliminating hotel costs and layover pay is significant.
Just like the company needs to operate efficiently the driver that's providing for his or her family needs to maximize their income.
2019 will be interesting!

Exactly!I see and know that PTS has moved many loads across a short haul lane from 402 to 455 and 511 to 455.matter of fact there is one load that has etimes from 402 that's already 3days late.by the company running short haul lanes like 402 to 455 and other runs we could find ourselves at home and laid off like a few are at abf in Jackson ms.thats what YRC considers cutting costsTHE question to ask in the hearing is...."YRC Freight is basing this COO on 41K bills a day....out of that number, how many are moved through PTS and YRC Logistics?....THAT, is what you all need to be concerned about...if you are following your work based on THOSE counts, will YOUR work be there for you, or moved by another service??....KK
is the 402 BA requesting Jacksonville meets at the big meeting?Exactly!I see and know that PTS has moved many loads across a short haul lane from 402 to 455 and 511 to 455.matter of fact there is one load that has etimes from 402 that's already 3days late.by the company running short haul lanes like 402 to 455 and other runs we could find ourselves at home and laid off like a few are at abf in Jackson ms.thats what YRC considers cutting costs
