Well, from what I hear, it is something to miss. Estes has gone downhill drastically since junior got the gift of a company that he obviously doesn't give a damn about. Wish he would just toss in the company to someone who cares instead of tossing his employees to the hounds. What a pompous, arrogant, self centered, egotistical, socialist minded.........fill in the blanks............
Oh, I guess you can figure out I've changed my mind about Estes. Used to be pro, but with the obvious disregard for the employees - the Big E family has only concern for the ownership family.
Hey Robbie!!!!! How the hell do you think you got where you are? Dad? You're right! Too bad you can't figure out how he became a success. See y'all in the unemployment line soon!!!!

Its all greed and moving his freight and moving it cheap!! Estes don`t care about your family or you, Rob has more money than he can possibly ever spend. Putting drivers on Thurs and Friday starts really gives a man more time to do things with his/her family when they are at home (on weekends). So keep on cutting people management, you are giving the competition a chance to hire more good quality drivers so they can pass you by even further!!!!!
Just think, Schneider and Swift LTL's. All they have to do is say there going to do it and already they'd be getting our customers to jump ship to them!

hey roadpig the difference with my new job and estes as far as layoffs are concerned is i fully understood that low seniority= possible layoff, but i still work at least 4 days a week when i am on layoff(which includes my medical and pension coverage). at estes if you are laid off you are with no job. and like i posted earlier the ceo of estes is telling you its gonna be alright not to worry. LOL just spoke with a few of my friends at estes today and guess what Legree and Danny came thru a week or 2 ago spouting the same BS everythings gonna be ok, and then laid off one of each. dock, city, HD, and linehaul. do you think they will be working anytime soon as the economy is doing well like you said. my final decree is this if mthelmet has changed sides then you better wake up man Estes only cares about Estes (as most companies do including the one i work for) but the company i work for doesnt tell me not to worry everythings gonna be alright and then throws you under the bus. goodluck guys i see things getting worse and worse it used to be a great company to work for when "the old man" ran it he at least gasve a crap about his employees Robey only cares about dead presidents laterz

Let me see,i so excited to tell some of the ways that big rob appreciates all of us...he protects us from that mean ole UNION,he works hard everyday to make sure his gigantic profit stays intact that way we can keep a job and thank him,you know its like he gives us a paycheck,we do nothing to earn any of it.He also wanted to tell me to tell everyone to thank them also for giving up most of their life on the road so that he can enjoy a very lavish lifestyle.He's been extremely glad here lately that he could give permanent vacations to some employees.Who could forget the favoritism that extended to some while others are left out...and he never holds a grudge! Also think about many of the good drivers that hav'nt done anything wrong,he rushed to their defense and had them terminated.Think about some of the poor terminally sick employees he's let go,WHAT A GUY!
Some of you should have been around Baltimore years ago when some of us misguided employees where trying to get the union in.Thats when i was sure we were appreciated when big rob and the comedy club team of his hung around like the national guard protecting us.There is not enough time and webspace to keep reminding everyone just what we mean to him$.When its all finally said and done we will all have left a great legacy that big rob and some will talk about and laugh about for years to come$

I agree with everything you posted here. But, even I would have left out the part about Robs' appearance. And I and most of Estes West loathes the man and his cronies with all our being. Bur as far as Hee Haw trucking squashing us. I can't think of one driver,dockworker,sales person,supervisor, terminal manager, gardner,vending machine vendor etc. who is no longer employeed with Estes that isn't doing better elsewhere. It's a wonderful thing. I heard a 35 year veteran supervisor was suspended pending termination last week. I hear he was a kick *** supervisor too. I don't know what the reason is. But if someone is fired after 35 years it better be something more than a west coast supervisor not conforming to hill billy mentality. He is much better off than he was a week ago. He doesn't know it yet, but he is. TRUST ME! Elvis out....

sorry maybe squashed was a hard word, but he sure did everything he could to make sure the union didnt happen. But i still stand by my opinion on this, he is a child molestor looking kind of guy though (he does fit the profile, besides see how well he takes care of his Estes family think about it LOL). Laterz
oh and lil Rob you are so right i never thought about how much big rob did for me (expensive and never ending increases on the medical, changing my lunch from 30 min to 60 min to 90 min if i didnt watch my paycheck hours, cost of living increases changed to performance raises (my favorite one), and so on and so on.....) now that you put me straight i feel better
