Compare the financials/operating margins of FedEx Express, FedEx Ground and FedEx Freight. See where all the profits/revenue are coming from. Wake the hell up Wong! You're comparing apples and oranges. But then again...

Yea we’re else can you go and do absolutely nothing get 6 weeks vacation and sick leave, free insurance, 12 weeks fmla and do nothing day after day. The hardest thing to at YRC is clock in and the rest of the day is all social media and surfing the web.

They say you can't fix stupid but some of us keep trying anyway...

FedEx 2017 revenue - $60.32 billion
UPS 2016 revenue - $60.91 billion
YRCW 2016 revenue - $4.697 billion

Like I said earlier, apples/oranges.

w. Way, FedEx ended their pension plan 6-1-2008, not being burdened with pension cost since that date they have continuously taken market share from UPS and the LTL companies. UPS will have to lower their labor cost to stay out of bankruptcy in the future. Better to lower labor cost now and preserve market share. As apposed to a bankruptcy judge doing it in a decade or two. The easiest way to lower labor cost is to change multi employer pension law. Partitioning the pension funds and eliminating the withdraw penalty would save contributing employers substantial amounts of money. TRIPLEX had a very good post showing yearly revenue. Go back to 2008 and see the difference in revenue and stock price between UPS and FEDEX as apposed to now, UPS is getting their ass kicked . Unless UPS changes today they will be the next Hostess, YRC . THE TAKE HOME WONG IS, see what happens at UPS in 2018 before you decide to KICK ass in 2019.

If you look at what Amazon is doing with same delivery with contracted small trucks and vans it is basically the fedex small package model, Amazon is getting it set up and getting the kinks out seems like they are doing well with it, but it seems once they do get it running smoothly they may be looking for a piece of the lucrative small package pie.
They are into everything else so why not ?

Buy and license a 24-30K straight truck with liftgate, and you too can be an independent contractor 24/7/365.

White glove specialist, ad infinitum.

It’s the freaking American dream!

You can even cover your own family healthcare plan!

The original business plan of RPS now embraced by FedEx Ground.

Makes me me wanna vomit!

If you need a history lesson, go ahead!!
