Yellow | I will not move kiss my

who is yellow and roadway i work for Y R C freight
I'm sure you have analyzed AND agonized over your decision. You are correct, it is your right to stay in Columbus. I wish the best for you. Anyone who realizes that their employer IS YRC Freight will be a loss. Good Luck

Since this post is about "mikee's" decision not to move, I'd like to share my own. I know the "Yellow-Roadway" or "Roadway-Yellow" comparisons have been driven into the ground and I'm not trying to get them started, but I'm a Roadway guy. I'm a Roadway guy and I always will be. I hated Roadway and I hate YRC even more! But at the end of the day, it provided a pretty good paycheck and the benefits were good. Basically, I worked weekends and crappy hours for the good of my family. So now, for the good of my family, I'm saying NO TO MOVING! Our home is the only home my kids have ever known. At the end of the day, all any of us are to YRC are numbers. We're not individuals. We are human resources. So, on April 8th, I'll be without a job for the first time in my adult life. WOW! Thanks Roadway and YRC!

good luck wish u well maybe some where else you can be a husband and a father instead of a provider and slave to this place best of luck

i wont move anymore for this outfit becuase i still believe the numbers since 2 years ago and the last giveback till 2015 is when the banks can walk away and close the door..........and i cant take a chance on moving somewhere ,,then a few years out of a job .....secondly makes me wonder if holland and new penn will survive and yrc frieght will close shop....... maybe should go work for holland or new penn .....remmeber if you go there you start out at higher pay and full scale in one year.(except yes the 15 percent part lol).....i think its only one year to full scale

no when going from one unioun to another one year .......... a new hire is 3 years now bye the way some one now if this iscorrect

i am out of 857 orCOL line haul i hope they can hire to keep you scared yrc baby in a job but like said i am not moving that is my right
You should consider a 5.5 transfer to Cincinnati. Keep what you have in Col. & make the commute. The rest of us did. Plenty of room in parking lot for another camper(plenty there now). They are sure to hire after change always have in past. Cin. has been their darling project for years, see no reason it will change. Union never makes true job gain at gaining terminals hence history of massive hiring after most changes. Use them as much as they use you. Good luck what ever you choose man.

Sounds like you're describing the 70's or 80's Roadway, not the Roadway of the last 20 yrs. I started with Roadway in 75 and worked there until the Yellow Plague, the Roadway you describe has not existed for decades.

If they were worse back then you can blame yourselves. You had a strong union then. Thats exactly what we were forced to do at CF. Last thing I told those @#$%^ idiots when I was escorted by cops to clean out locker was, You never broke me & you never will. From what I have seen R is one of the worst contract following companies I have ever seen. BTW I have no love for Y either but they did honor the contract for most part. As far as Yellow plague you can blame R for selling you out & throwing employees under bus. Like I said no love lost for ANY of these companies. Bash away.

What's a 5.5 transfer?

What's a 5.5 transfer?
When your a laid off road driver & they hire at another location you can transfer in before they hire off street.you get no money & do have to start a new seniority # but keep rate of pay vacations etc. That stands for article # in contract, sorry should have said that.

I have moved 3 times in the last 5 years. I will not make it a 4th time. I'm done with all the games this company brings with employment here!!!!
