More than 50 businesses in the Kansas City region will search for new employees Friday at a job fair targeting veterans, active members of the military and their spouses.

The “Hiring Our Heroes” fair is part of a national movement by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce , National Chamber Foundation and Capital One to help find jobs for 500,000 veterans, service members and military spouses by the end of 2014.

Companies at the fair will include YRC Worldwide Inc.’s (Nasdaq: YRCW) YRC Freight unit, Commerce Bank , Black & Veatch and Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City...................
