Boy oh boy. Skillet faced Road Commodes. What about those "2 story corvairs", used because of length laws back in the early 80's?
You must be refering to the "pipe" trucks. Replaced those quality 8V72 Detroits with Series 60 engines. The door hinges were so wore out you could stick your hand in the truck without opening the door! LOL
10-4 my brother!!!!I would rather see that Pension payment move up from 25% before they start buying anything else....KK
I would change that to any one who has or will have vested time in the pension.that would be nice especially for the guys that are real close to retirement....
Must be something other than that, all truck stops have it.Of course just because DEF is available up or down the street does NOT mean some bean counter did not issue a rule like you describe! Was told by Cincinnati 241 Mgt. they were keeping those new trucks out west to meet emission laws? They are currently taking delivery on the new trucks in Kansas City. They are keeping them mostly between Kansas City, St. Louis, and Indy because of the new DEF(Diesel Exhaust Fluid). Only certain shops have that fluid.
Thanks man.Good luck to you in the construction industry as well.Hope they get something figured out soon. Would like to see everybody at YRC doing better in the near future. I no longer work in freight. I went to Heavy construction as a Teamster. But I firmly believe that what bodes ill for freight bodes ill for the rest of us. Good luck Guys hope you all can tough it out and start to see some of the good life again real soon.
Yeah. West to 309. Once the shuttle gets hold of them, they will "disappear" never to be seen again.Saw one of the new tractors @ 211 a couple of weeks ago, it had 7k miles on it. We were told to send the new tractors west.
