XPO | New pro numbers…

Yep almost 20 years with the company and it just gets worse each year.
One of the issues that keeps coming up is scanning off multiple piece shipments at the customer's dock. The way the system is designed now , if you have an eight piece order , you are required to scan off eight pieces. If you don't scan each piece off separately , you have to give a reason why you bypassed scanning off each piece.

On the delivery receipts the parent pro is listed in the usual places , but it doesn't correspond to the child pros on the freight. You have to search around on the delivery receipt for the matching child pros. Also , if you haven't scanned the child pros at the customer yet , it's not obvious what and when you need to scan. Some customers may not have time or patients for this prolonged , multistage process.

You think ? …. Maybe in bumfauk Iowa a peddle driver has the luxury of time to deal with that chit but here on the east coast we’re just too understaffed to deal with that. Bring on the chit storm.

Talked to one of our city drivers and he said one shipper kick out Central Transport because of this pro number sh1t they do what we are going to. He said they only have 2 door and don't have time for that bs. I see us losing customers over this. Though in xph losing some freight would be a relief for you guys
 
They just have to stop accepting more freight than they can handle and things would go better but their greed over runs it.
 
Anybody else know about this? Supposed to be 10 digits or something. Helps us to be able to keep track of the freight better with shortages I guess? Go figure..we design a new pro to help us keep track of the shortages. Remember…forward always!
I hear those new pro’s have Brad’s image in the background, like paper money?
