LUCERNE VALLEY • One person was killed when a tractor trailer and a vehicle collided along Highway 247 near Haynes Road on Thursday afternoon, according to initial reports.
There were reports after the initial impact that the vehicle was tossed from the road and rolled.
Highway 247 was shut down as California Highway Patrol officers and San Bernardino County Fire officials responded to the call at about 4:30 p.m.
Information on the deceased person was not immediately made available, but it was reported the person in the smaller vehicle was the one who died. The driver of the tractor trailer did not appear to be seriously injured.....................
