Came through "spaghetti junction", aka "malfunction junction", this morning around 11:30ish and again this afternoon around 2:30-2:45ish and what a cluster!!!!! I've never seen so many people in one location that CAN'T DRIVE...and it's EVERYDAY!!!The 100 worst traffic bottlenecks on U.S. highways

"The worst bottleneck in the country is in Atlanta, where northbound Interstate 85 conspires with Interstate 285 to snarl traffic in what’s known as “spaghetti junction.” Fort Lee, Chicago (I-290 and I-90), Louisville (I-65 and I-64), Cincinnati (I-71 and I-75), Los Angeles (State 60 and State 57), Auburn, Wash. (State 18 and State 167), Houston (I-45 and U.S. 59), Atlanta (I-75 and I-285) and Seattle (I-5 and I-90) round out the top."
The actual list is here:

I didn't see I-85 through Greenville, SC at 5:00 rush hour on the list but it sure should've been on there!!Trump Team Compiles Infrastructure Priority List

Yeah, I noticed that. At least construction is under way, although it may be too little to late. Oh, there is an official website too:I didn't see I-85 through Greenville, SC at 5:00 rush hour on the list but it sure should've been on there!!
I did notice that almost every major interchange in ATL made the list...sad!!!
Hmmm....wonder why the choice for "flyovers" instead of a "turbine" interchange?? I think they'll regret that decision once the first snow/ice storm hits!!Yeah, I noticed that. At least construction is under way, although it may be too little to late. Oh, there is an official website too:

"Finally, construction of ten new bridge structures which include two flyovers, rehabilitation of two existing bridge structures, and modifications to the substructure of one existing bridge will occur to facilitate this new interchange system. The work being performed on these roads and bridges will help alleviate traffic congestion throughout this entire corridor. Construction began in February of 2016 and will continue until 2020."
Good point, since flyovers must be among the most expensive choices possible...Hmmm....wonder why the choice for "flyovers" instead of a "turbine" interchange?? I think they'll regret that decision once the first snow/ice storm hits!!
And I wonder if hiring people who lack driving experience, and the compensation and benefits they pay, has anything to do with their insurance expense related to certain prior and current claims??? That probably wasn't covered in their earnings release....Swift Profits Plummet 30%, Revenues Fall in Three of Four Divisions

“The fourth quarter capped a very challenging 2016, as rising fuel prices and a weak used truck market compounded the negative impact of the pricing and freight volume headwinds prevalent within the market,” the company wrote in a letter to investors. “Our results for the fourth quarter were further impacted by higher-than-expected insurance and claims expense related to development on certain prior and current year claims.”
Ohh, like, Wong has been real easy on CRST's insurance this year......And I wonder if hiring people who lack driving experience, and the compensation and benefits they pay, has anything to do with their insurance expense related to certain prior and current claims??? Yes...but anything is better than a cloverleaf design!! Cloverleafs are cheaper and require less area but fail to keep traffic moving...which results in even more backups!!Good point, since flyovers must be among the most expensive choices possible...
And, in news that surprised no one...Swift Profits Plummet 30%, Revenues Fall in Three of Four Divisions

That's because most millennials here in the states were taught that the Govt would provide everything for them, thus they have no desire to seek for those things themselves!!And, in news that surprised no one...
These big TL carriers just don't seem to understand why they're struggling to make money. They hire the poorly trained, offer them no training improvement, pay them nothing, and put them on the road for weeks at a time.
Part of the problem is that younger drivers today grew up in a system that convinced them going to school teaches you everything you need to know. They get out into the real world and discover that just isn't true, usually the hard way.
Case in point: Adulting Classes. These exist so millennials can pay to learn how to deal with what real life demands of them because they didn't learn it before (for various reasons) and find themselves lacking the knowledge to perform basic tasks like finding a job, paying bills, cooking for themselves and so on.
