Now before all ya'll veteran ice road type truckers out there laugh at us southerners, please remember we really don't know how to drive when the road is equal to an olympic skating rink.

Yesterday was really terrible. The links I'm putting in show where an incident happened about five minutes after I went through and I KNEW there was going to be a wreck there. And this incident just goes to show, emergency responders aren't immune to mother nature.

There is video and a number of pictures. Some of the comments by the readers are rather cruel though. :(

Bottom line - Ice doesn't care who you are.

Ya'll drive safe out there!

You are right on TrnDancer,no matter what part of the country you live in,icy roads are all the same.
Stopping on ice depends on your speed of course, however you can wreck on ice at the slowest speeds if there is a strong wind you can slide just sitting still.
Just the nature of ice,the bottom line its is down right slippery.
