Strikes are not very pleasent for the workers or the employer.
But where would the wages, and benefits be for all North American workers if others hadn't paved the way?

I'm retired now since 4/01/08 after working 45 years as city driver.
I got my first Teamsters union job in 1966.
I walked on a few contracts between 66' and 80 when the trucking industry was deregulated.

I might add one of the dumest things our government ever did.
Besides the point,if none of us old timer Teamsters every walked the picket lines.
The trucking industry would being paying slave wages, maybe no benefits.

So every worker has to do what they think is right regarding strikes not only for their futures, but the up,and coming generations of folks working in the trucking indusrty.

Some trade unions may be able to be put out of work in this country.
By companies sending their manufacturing overseas to foreigners.
Such as the steel industry going to China.

But there will still be a need for Americans to drive the trucks.
America moves by trucks isn't just a catchy saying ,its the truth.

Trucking companies still need safe, trust worthy employees to run their business.
Another catch phrase in this country is.
You get what you pay for.

If you pay good wages, and benefits you will have good faithful workers that will help your business grow.

If you cheap out your labor costs, you will only get newbies to the industry gaining their experence busting up your equipment, and leaving you open to law sutes.

This is my opinion on this labor issue.
