FedEx Freight | Trash insurance! Fedex cares!!

Agreed! However, you still have a few drivers that will still put on the silk, purple panties that will vote against it. Some drivers hate unions. However, they will give you legal representation when the managers that represent the company makes you take out equipment thats not legal under Federal Law. Everyone of you need to vote a union in and stop eating the hotdogs and drinking the grape kool aid, at company cookouts.
Hahaha purple panties. This is 100 % true. These guys would blow Fred Smith under his desk. That’s why I left that joke of a company. FedEx is going backwards now. I remember when FedEx was a great company.

I'm outta Nashville Tennesse so figure it out. I'm alot of things but a liar isn't one of them...

I didn't PM you because I'm not looking to push the teamsters anymore...

We didn't want them to do all the work, but some would have been nice.
Fair Enough .You get what they give you.

This is exactly the problem at most barns , most companies . The young guys could care less about ins . They see the higher hourly and are happy . Then one day age will creep up on them and they will wish they had a lot better insurance.
And what happens then.Open your wallet.(Sucker) Any one who has a family with kids ,needs insurance. The deductibles and hospital bills are a killer.

The worse thing they changed last year, was having to use your FSA monies for medical payments before the HRA money. We blew through the FSA funds in 3 visits to one of my kids specialists and 2 ER visits for his issue. We had nothing left in the FSA account to spend on my other kids asthma meds. We put nothing in the FSA this year. No point. This insurance has been crap since ACA was passed and it just keeps getting worse. We did get the volunteer extra medical this year, Covid hospital stays are covered and they pay monies after a certain amount of days in the hospital if you end up on a Ventilator. The money goes right to the employee. It can be used for bills, etc.

And that change wasn’t communicated in advance! That’s akin to stealing…

The FSA is still a great benefit. If you have have large med expenditures, it’s a good tax savings.
Pay out of pocket for doctor visits in the beginning half of the year. Save receipts. Use up FSA for pharmacy. Towards the last part of year, submit the doctor receipts for HRA reimbursement. That way you use up your HRA benefits for the year.

That’s hacking on level that most aren’t capable of. The FSA and HRA accounts should’nt have been combined…

The unions are bigger crooks than the insurance companies. Just what we want to do pay out more money so teamsters can pay their retirement plan that they've depleted. Definitely not the answer.
Maybe you should do more research about Union health care. Ours (Teamcare) is no cost and excellent coverage. The real crooks are the companies that will not provide good health care for their employees while making hundreds of millions of dollars in profits. What is paid on our behalf for healthcare is for healthcare. The pension gets nothing from these contributions. That is a whole different thing and has separate contributions paid on our behalf per our contract.

I liked it when they would send you quarterly checks to home out of your HRA account. Definitely easier on me. Having both accounts connected to one card didn’t bother me. But the using up your FSA first was crappy….

Hey Dave, could you explain this to a 5 year old.
I don't quite get it. I use up both my FSA and HRA by 2nd half of the year.

Doesn't unused HRA rollover and FSA is use it or lose it.

Ok. I’ll try to explain it without using a Tonka truck. Lol.
This answer was for Princess or folks in her position. I know our family will use the maximum amount allowed in a FSA for our medical expenses, so I always put in the maximum each year. The rest of you will have to assume an amount and not go too far above because FSA is use it or lose it.
The HRA does rollover. Jeez I can’t remember right now, but I think it’s $500 that can be carried over the following year.
The crappy thing Fedex did was have our FSA accounts be exhausted first before we can tap our HRA account.
FSA can be used for all expenses: medical, dental and pharmacy. HRA can only be used for medical: Primary doctor, X-rays, blood work etc. anything medical related.
I know in my case and maybe Princess, from what she has posted before, there are years where I don’t see my Primary or have medical expenses but I have a full pharmacy load and I won’t have HRA qualified expenses and I would miss out on my HRA benefit for the year. Of course with the carryover, it’s really only a couple hundred bucks.
But what chaps my hide is Optum will send me a notice saying my card is depleted. I have my FSA card on file with them. Now I got to add another credit card.
Maybe a little more work, but I wouldn’t not use the FSA benefit. What’s your tax bracket? That’s your savings in the FSA account.
So, by paying for medical expenses without using the FSA card in the beginning of the year, you can submit those receipts to the HRA account that’s paid for by fedex and exhaust it by the end of the year.

I use these to explain stuff to some of the Coop drivers going from one side of CR to the other. Maybe they will help you explain it better?

That is impressive clarification. Are you a lawyer or a truck driver? LOL!!!
