Big rig driver unhooks cab, flees deadly hit-and-run in Vernon

VERNON, Calif. (KABC) --
A search was underway for a hit-and-run driver of a semi-truck accused of fleeing after a deadly crash in Vernon on Saturday.

Authorities responded to the scene near 37th Street and Santa Fe Avenue at about 3:10 a.m., according to Vernon police.

Investigators said the driver of the 18-wheeler was involved in a minor crash near Soto and 37th streets before he ran a red light and collided with a pickup truck that was found lodged underneath the trailer of the big rig.

Oh my,thats really something,the trucker drops his box & goes bobtailing on his merry way.
Whoever it was better hope there was no video record of his cowardly act.

Although it shouldn't be hard to find the guy with the name of the company he was hauling for all over the trailer.
Just contact that company with the trailer number,& location
