Thank You ,brother :You’ve said it all in a nut shell .It ain’t perfect it’s what we got .It looks like the master negotiating committee may impose a supplement only after first a rejection by vote, then a conference with the supplement committee, then a vote on a revised proposal, then a separate vote for strike authorization, and then after all that they may impose the revised proposal if the members did not authorize a strike, or refuse to strike when authorized.
In the event no new tentative agreement is reached, or if the members reject the new tentative agreement, the master committee shall conduct a separate strike authorization vote among the members covered by the special rider or supplement. The separate strike vote cannot be combined with the vote on any revised tentative agreement. If the affected members fail to authorize a strike utilizing the standards set forth in Section 1(b) of this Article, or refuse to strike if one is authorized by the affected members and is called by the master negotiating committee, the master negotiating committee shall have authority to accept the final offer or such additional provisions as can be negotiated. If the affected members authorize a strike, the master negotiating committee shall have authority to determine the time and manner in which such action shall be initiated. Once a strike has been authorized by the separate vote of the members covered by the special rider or supplement and a strike commenced, the special rider or supplement shall not take effect without approval by a majority of the votes cast by the affected members.
What jackass! How many contracts did you vote for .I guess you are Too Dumb to understand TDU .The General president has the authority and him only .If you don't vote the way they want, they will have another vote.

He probably would be elected again but not from the LTL sector of the union . The Teamsters are a diverse union most teamsters are not even truck drivers or dock men . Look at your teamster magazine and see how many members belong to other industries and that is what keeps Hoffa getting reelected coupled with 80% of lazies who toss their balletsFor a union buster I'd say he's done a hell of a job. Said part is if the election was tomorrow he'd probably win again.
Over what? Your company made its first profit in forever last quarter. What have they got to give?Maybe it's time to have a good old fashion strike ????
Have to give ??? well for a start out -15% back & weeks vacation and bump us up to the non-union pay scale level !Over what? Your company made its first profit in forever last quarter. What have they got to give?
If the strike will replace leadership at yrc then it would be productive, otherwise your just hastening the end

We already have a bunk full of those in the hotel....Wong, maybe you need to order one of these pillows so you'll get a better night's sleep and then you won't be so irritable when you wake up! Just looking out for you buddy.

You make it sound like "hastening the end" is a bad thing? If it's going to happen let's lock this bitch up and move on, if not let's get paid equal to the others doing the job and move on! If you can't afford to pay your employees properly than we are doing them a favor by "hastening the end" and we can find a company to work for that is run properly and can afford to pay their employees.Over what? Sounds like a good plan for everyone but the investors who rescued yrc a few years ago. I guess the real question is at what point do they cut bait? You make it sound like "hastening the end" is a bad thing? Wish I could agree with you. Our vote is just a formality." Contract" or "mou" (using the terms loosely) will pass 51-49.Truth be told, it doesn't matter what they negotiate, we have the final say in the vote.
