Against the labor laws to get fired if you vote a union in and go on strike. Now if you go on strike and your center didn't vote a union in Now that's a different story.
Actually, the NLRA of 1935 protects your right to strike if you are trying to renew a contract. It doesn't, if you're trying to secure an initial contract after organizing. Reference the Overnite strike in 1999. They fired the strikers. NLRB ruled in favor of the company. It's called Job Abandonment.
