They are not going to give you a choice, it's their way or no way.Well as far as i'm concerned the answer is the same.
YRC will merge New Penn into their operation when the freight levels drop anyhow.[/QUOTE] There comes a point when you have to say enough is enough, for me that point is now. I urge everyone to take a step back and think, look around, remember what's happened in the past. Just look at how much
they have changed our working enviroment and how we do business on a daily basis. After letting the emotion of the moment pass I did just that and I came to the conclusion that we are going to be a memory sooner rather than later. I loved working here because you never thought you were working stupid. We always did things in the most efficent manner possible and with a purpose.
Now we have to meet productivity goals set by someone in Kansas City instead of doing what's best for our company.
I am afraid that they hasve killed our method of moving freight and for my barn they have destroyed the work ethic of a majority of the men. I think you must vote NO, don't let the bully on the block push you around anymore.
Change is coming and nobody likes change. Don't let it freak you out. They measure everything..It's ridiculous. They are only making you aware of your production. You get a 10 min break not 12 etc.
If you have the work ethic you say you have you will never hear from them. The reason they bought New Penn is they always wanted a regional carrier. They created a couple non-union regionals that went out. New Penn can only work as a stand alone carrier.
They will not merge it. Freight levels are lower then ever. Where's the merge? They could cut hundreds of jobs in a merge and would have done it by now. Just don't expect a pat on the back etc. That will never happen. They are not bullies. They are all college grads.
They don't bother anybody Ok, a warning letter now and then for a paper work error or a minor screwup never killed anyone
