Wouldn't shock me Paccar has gotten a hold of the big fleet fever and I work at fedex freight and we have both KW'S and Pete's now, I would give anything to have an old red volvo back like we use to have those Pete's and KW's are the roughest riding pos I have had the pleasure of short of a old r model mack dump truck with camelback rear suspension lol.. Get your chiropractor on speed dial lol

Yes...A shop leadman said they ordered KW's... Actually saw 2 2016 Freightliners at XDM this week.
It's probably more of a parts issue more than anything else, Other companies having this issue. Many other Large Ltl and truckload mega fleets purchase Freightliners in large quantities, So they might not dictate what they want to pay for a truck. Just saying.
I work for Reddaway, and they have ordered something like 120 new Peterbilts for the northwest fleet.
No offense but looks like owner operators are buying the trucks

Just because they're Kenworth trucks, they have to be owner/operator spec?
Has literally nobody noticed that a Peterbilt or Kenworth badge does not mean it's loaded? I've seen more plastic on the inside of modern Kenworths and Petes than I have in a modern Freightliner! It IS possible to order these trucks with just as much nothing in them as a Freightliner or a Volvo, FedEx has been doing it for years.
[rant] It's also possible to not deliberately irritate people by suggesting brokers will steal their jobs. It's the same nonsense over on the FedEx board over Ground vs. Freight and Ground doesn't have enough trucks to move it's own freight, nevermind everything else. Same applies to XPO. It would take DECADES for brokers to replace the company drivers because not everyone can go out and buy fifty trucks or find fifty drivers to drive them. Don't be stupid. [/rant]

I don't care if the truck is wrapped in gold or plastic. All you guys need to worry about is your paycheck. Who cares what trucks they buy as long as your badge works when you swipe it to start getting paid.Too many people worried about the wrong things. Money should be your only motivation, when CCX was alive we drove airstart sterlings no radio and a fan in the dash and we loved the money so we stayed.
I bet this is coming from the same person that would throw a fit if someone jump in his cascadia and left him a old city unit those things are the reason half of you have back and knee problems now
Nope, don't really care as long as I'm on the clock and my seniority holds my run. Road card or clock, money is all we have left.
