XPO | XTJ ratifies a contract

I have no problem with cameras on any employee at any company for whatever reason including management. There are many jobs with cameras watching you constantly. Banks, cashiers, casino employees and policeman are just a few jobs where cameras watching you. Do you think it's invading their privacy?
No...they are in a public place and the camera is not three feet from their face...these people you mention are dealing with large sums of money, I am not....the policeman has a body cam which is not recording his face but forward facing like we got....apples and peaches... errr I mean oranges...

Was driver facing cameras something the terminals negotiating a contract a concern that they tried to change?

So do you think the bank president or the police chief has a camera in their face as they work? This is just one more freedom you are giving up. What's Next? Cameras in your home, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, watching you to make sure everything you are doing is correct and safe? Will insurance companies require these "facing-cameras" to get auto or life insurance? Will it one day be a government requirement to be on camera at all times? Be careful of what freedoms you are so willing to give away. Once they are gone, good luck getting them back!!!
You didn't answer my question...There are many jobs with cameras watching you constantly. Banks, cashiers, casino employees and policeman are just a few jobs where cameras watching you. Do you think it's invading their privacy? I never suggested cameras anywhere else other then company owned property. If I owned a company and I believe it's in my best interest to have cameras on or in my property why shouldn't I be allowed?

If the cameras are not on every employee including management for all to see, then yes I do think it is an invasion of privacy. Now, before we "turn the page", answer my question. Do you think insurance companies or the government should be able to monitor your every move you make?

So what if someone works from home for a company using company provided equipment (laptop, printer, company files, etc.)? Should the employer be able to have you monitored by camera in your own home? And what about transferring this company provided equipment back and forth from work to home? Does this now mean the company should be allowed to install cameras in your car to monitor every move you make? After all, it is company owned property as you stated!!!

We covered this go back and read from post #51

We've covered almost every topic in some form or fashion before. That doesn't mean it can't be covered again or that the previous post needs to be reread. It may be a different point of view. It may be new information. It may be from another person. Or , maybe someone has changed their mind.

Or it might be someone who is a banned member on a VPN who likes to rehash things over...and over....and over again...he claims to be new and he has read things, then he brings up things that have already been discussed...

I take issue with driver facing cameras.... The cab of that truck is my office, when I see my manager, supervisors, and clerk have cameras facing them that the company monitors then I might be ok with it....you might have a point about improvement in drivers with cameras, but I would guess that has far more to do with the forward facing camera, don't you agree?

lol , it’s management answer to Labor Day.

Seems it’s an ongoing issue for SOME of the anti Union guys here to break the rules. Why do they keep coming up under new user names. Why not play by the rules here if your anti Union . Is it conceivable that these pop up new anti Union guys are not drivers but company schills trying to derail debate here with persistent anti post ? I hope that’s not the case. It sucks for the regular anti Union posters here because they jump on the false prophets post in agreement and look bad when they get banned. I don’t understand what the company and the false prophets keep breaking the rules. It only makes them look bad .

Seems with the post here , a dozens of won labor charges for the union the company has an integrity problem. Do they not understand this is why people seek representation in the first place . I have yet to here of one charge that was filed won in favor of the company . Keep posting here please ,because every time you get banned it’s more proof of the dishonesty on your part .

Happy Labor Day to my fellow workers who all deserve better ! I respect ALL of you for your hard work and dedication. Even if this company does not. Keep up the good work.

Well don't keep us suspense!! Who could it possibly be? The profile fits so many different former posters. TiredTrucker44, TurnThePage, Peddleguy, PeachyKeen, TruckingGod77, etc., etc., just to name a few. So is it one of these posters or someone else? LOL!!!

A camera right in my face is an invasion, and while we don't agree on that, what about the rest of my post? Shouldn't a good management team lead by example?
You are right. I think it’s an invasion too. Especially when they are talking about cameras coming that record all the time. What business is it of someone listening to me talking to my wife on the phone. That’s BS

Look, man...you gotta admit, he keeps things interesting around here. When he is banned, activity on this forum goes down by 50% lol.

I don't know why he keeps getting banned now, is he violating some rule of the forum by making new accounts? I guess he probably is, but where I'm from, banned just means until enough time has passed that people ain't mad at you anymore. Y'all still that mad?

I never was mad at 'ole Peachy and I do not have the authority to Ban him on these forums. I have had many debates with him. The problem that I see is the fact that when debates don't go his way, he registers under a new name and tries to project himself as a different person. But it does not take long to figure out it is him. In most people's eyes, including mine, that is shady to say the least. I can't trust someone that thinks they can change their identity and start over and try to make people believe they are someone else. If you do change your name, at least let everyone know like OV-10 did. That way, it does not look like you are trying to be sneaky and deceiving.

The problem as I see it with inward facing cameras is it’s pointing at you 60 hrs a week everyday . Eventually , no matter how careful you are it’s going to catch you doing something That the company deems wrong. Your job is on the line for a discount they receive from the insurance carrier.
