Yellow | You'll shoot your eye out !

What's it say about a society that the first thing after Sandy Hook hundreds if not thousands of people do is to run out and buy the gun the murderer used. If this gun was so important to them, why didn't they all ready have one? They barely took a minute to mourn the loss of these kids and their families.
 
The quintessential reason why Grandpa carries a gun.

Why Carry a Gun?
My old Grandpa said to me, 'Son, there comes a time in every man's life when he stops bustin' knuckles and starts bustin' caps and usually it's when he becomes too old to take a whoopin'.'
I don't carry a gun to kill people; I carry a gun to keep from being killed.
I don't carry a gun because I'm evil; I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the World.
I don't carry a gun because I hate the government; I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.
I don't carry a gun because I'm angry; I carry a gun so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.
I don't carry a gun because I want to shoot someone; I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.
I don't carry a gun to make me feel like a man; I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.
I don't carry a gun because I feel inadequate; I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.
I don't carry a gun because I love it; I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.
Police protection is an oxymoron: Free citizens must protect themselves because police do not protect you from crime; they just investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.
Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take a whoopin'!

Honestly I would prefer to here to hear a person's own opinion in his own words not a bunch of outdated statistics. I've already stated I'm pro gun but I also know guns aren't the answer to everything.

Sandy hook brought the issue of Guns/Gun control to the for front. Slowly but surely People are starting to understand that the Government (I.E. Law enforcement/ FBI/ Homeland Security) cannot protect us 100% of the time. So if, As an example somebody runs into the movies here in Allentown yelling "ALLAH ACKBAR!" and tries to do some sort of volince he's gonna be opened up on from a whole lotta Citizens with carry permits! Problem solved. And if some punk wants to break into my house while Mrs "Valley" and I are sleeping I sure as hell hope that person enjoys buckshot cause I'm aiming to kill!
Guns in the hands of responible Citizens will go a long way to curb crime and violence!
 
I just think it's more interesting to here a persons own opinion. Your opinion and everybody else's opinion is important. Why not but it out there to see if the masses agree with you.
 
TM a lot of new gun laws went into effect in various states at the start of the new year, but you STILL CAN'T BRING FIREARMS ON YRC PROPERTY.

Actually here in the great state of Texas you can bring them on YRC property and there is nothing the company can do about it
LC §52.061. RESTRICTION ON PROHIBITING EMPLOYEE ACCESS TO OR STORAGE OF FIREARM OR AMMUNITION. A public or private employer may not prohibit an employee who holds a license to carry a concealed handgun under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, who otherwise lawfully possesses a firearm, or who lawfully possesses ammunition from transporting or storing a firearm or ammunition the employee is authorized by law to possess in a locked, privately owned motor vehicle in a parking lot, parking garage, or other parking area the employer provides for employees.

Man‼️Do you even read what is posted on here before you comment? In the state of Texas you are allowed by law to store your gun in your vehicle in the parking lot (COMPANY PROPERTY).

Know why the Japanese did not send troops to invade the US? They said 'too many citizens have guns & would fight to the death to defend their home'. They felt they could not win by invading the US. Now the Fed's might make it harder to obtain firearms, but they will never be able to take away enough guns from its citizens to force a dictatorship upon us. And that is you balance of power. Remove said balance of power & say hello to you new ಠ▄ಠ. Like the sign says above the gate as you enter the Jonestown compound in Guyana, ‘Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it’. Von.
