I agree. It seems every time they give me a road run I get a Watkins truck with no cruise control.

I'd say it 's a seniority thing, junior guy gets the crappier equipment, except that there is a 25 year guy at my yard running the longest relay we have with no cruise.
Not at our barn>>>> if your not in the clique you get the ****.......safe to say I'm number 8 on the road board.....I drive a Packard with a fifth wheel.....:confused:

It would be nice if we fixed what we have. Our vendor sucks and they refuse to do anything about it. We can't even get a single light fixed over night.
Or hire truck drivers.
Every truck I drove over there had the same features... key to start, fifth wheel and air lines hooked the same way, push in the clutch, stick it in gear and go.

Not the hub I go to, your lucky to get 3 round and on squared off wheel from all the super slab rats that do a burn out after backing out of a trailer

Yep, gotta save those friction surfaces for when the steering wheel holders take off in 4th gear with a load on and slip the hell out of the clutch.

Back when they were Watkins / National trucks they had cruise control. It was the safety department of Freight who decided you freight drivers couldn't handle cruise control without a vorad system.
