I heard the hackers wanted the payment in DogeCoin but Rob was only willing to pay in Shiba so the deal couldn’t be made. He had a big stash under Billy’s zero turn mower seat that SeaBreeze leases out that he was willing to deal. Not even a set of mirrors that had never exceeded 46mph with 2 hotdogs all way with a sun drop would satisfy the ransom and that’s a shame.
It is not that simple. All it takes is 1 customer service person clicking on a link they shouldn’t and then the virus is in the system. Then they wait weeks or even months before they activate the virus and it is all of the systems including the backup files. Clorox has been going through this for almost a month as has MGM.We do a video this week with how we are moving forward and we are Estes strong and some other something or another. Should have had super security already as big a company as it is. We are supposingly heroes for going above and beyond, but it feels more like janitors cleaning up the mess that should have never happened. After the first trucking company got hit a few years ago the rest should prepared for something like this especially a multi billion dollar company.
Don’t forget about the vendors (samsara, peoplenet, etc) who have access to sensitive systems. A pissed off employee could easily sell a password. It is not that simple. Does seem since samsara was implemented its been a terrible roll out.Don’t forget about the vendors (samsara, peoplenet, etc) who have access to sensitive systems. A pissed off employee could easily sell a password.
So dont be watching tic tok on the company computersIt is not that simple. All it takes is 1 customer service person clicking on a link they shouldn’t and then the virus is in the system. What’s this pissed off employee you speak of? Never come across one lolDon’t forget about the vendors (samsara, peoplenet, etc) who have access to sensitive systems. A pissed off employee could easily sell a password.

I was guessing it was some pissed off Yellow IT folks angry about losing their jobs and Estes flopping money around to buy terminals and equipment… not to mention the former Yellow freight we’re hauling now… that’s enough to push an unhinged computer geek over the edge…Don’t forget about the vendors (samsara, peoplenet, etc) who have access to sensitive systems. I’m just hoping they didn’t pay the bastards off… guarantees the hackers will come back for more…Who ever did it knew exactly what they were doing. It didnt pay off them if they were expecting money, but they sure cost Estes a lot regardless.
From what i heard they didnt. This however was from other drivers so i dont how true it is.I’m just hoping they didn’t pay the bastards off… guarantees the hackers will come back for more…
The only place I heard that was the rumor mill. Never happened. We got paid supplemental money for the shortage of hours. Estes said they would pay us an average of our paychecks over the last 30 weeks. Did they not do that for you guys?
Nobody ever said you couldn't file for unemployment. You are misinformed.Im dishearted with how Estes has handled this cyber attack. It has put hardships on its workers. Why not let some drivers haul what little freight you got and let the other drivers and any dock workers that aint working sign up for unemployment? We dont have billions like the Estes family. Working a day or two a week is not paying anything after they take out insurance etc. Estes dropped the ball on this. I know its not their fought for the cyber attack but at least take care of your workers. Damn this is hurting.
There isn no way to ever full proof your system. If a human created the network to begin with, then someone can break into it and create havok. We do a video this week with how we are moving forward and we are Estes strong and some other something or another. Probably right . It was so much confusion you never get the same story twice . Heck even the managers were not on the same page. Drivers being told different things by different people in charge. What a fiasco. Funny though if something went wrong guess whos fought it was and why didnt you know? How to know when nobody else knows.Nobody ever said you couldn't file for unemployment. You are misinformed.
We got a handout in our box explaining how the loan would work… I didn’t inquire about it.The only place I heard that was the rumor mill. Never happened.
did for usThe only place I heard that was the rumor mill. Never happened.
