Speaking of 'kicking up dust', the garden tiller race at the annual 'Purple Hull Pea Festival', had a new winner. This event, held in Emerson, is the big go in Arkansas. It is even better than the county fair. Who said Rednecks never have excitement in their lives?

Are you sure the culprits were not deer?. The deer in this area have the ability to strip a pea patch the night before the day you intend to pick. I think it is a genetic trait passed down in their DNA. Whether deer or rabbits a landowner should be entitled to 'harvest' what he has fed.
Nah, I have an electric fence around the garden.
Besides mama caught two rabbits in her rabbit boxes, brought them to town, and released them.
Well fed rabbits also provide needed protein.
