The latest Corp Communication Video-(Nov)

Ongoing Spec review/Focus group meetings were highlighted, with continued positive impressions and feedback from attendees.

Sales lead program get high marks. Apparently city drivers have stepped up acquiring leads, resulting in significant and measurable amounts of added business, contributing real and ongoing added revenue.

City drivers are asked to continue (and increase) this effort, crucial to betting back on plan. In today's market the best growth opportunity is said to be in moving business from other carriers' trucks onto our trucks. The sales lead feature is easily accessed under the "stop menu" on the intermec.

Related to that (IMHO), claims reduction efforts were discussed. We are encouraged to continue to improve through the ongoing "own it" initiative, handling each movement of customer shipments as if it were our own.

In closing, Thanksgiving was the theme. Several FXFE employees shared some of what they are thankful for.

Any comments, observations, etc?
 
The Dec. Video:

We were informed of 2 employees lost recently, one lost in the recent Paris terror attack. Condolences go out. Sad news.

We were shown select video from the Gardena, Ca one day picket/protest event. We are led to believe it was a tense event, filled with lawlessness. The opportunity to earn a days pay was said to be denied and our customers were said to have suffered.

Charitable giving by employees was highlighted. Several centers were shown to have significant participation in the Thanksgiving food drive.

Finally, shops with over 5000 days of injury free operation were highlighted. There were quite a few listed.

The driver that died was on a road run, sad news indeed but the interesting part is that FedEx has somehow kept the story out of the news. What we were not told is not the truth; the driver was not pulled out of his vehicle and also flashed a gun tucked in his waist; the video cut away when the trunk was opened by that car behind the truck. That driver had opened his trunk to remove tire iron to threaten the picketers. As far as "a days pay" be advised that they choose some drivers that did not participate and paid them for 4 hours.

Hmmm....so you were there and you saw what you claimed happen to actually have happened?? Maybe you can provide us all with some video so we can see for ourselves an employee "flashing a gun tucked in his waist" while on company property or another employee "removing a tire iron to threaten the picketers" with!!
Or maybe this is all just hearsay...somebody told somebody that told somebody that told somebody....unless you can provide us with some proof then your accusations are nothing more than rumors!!

Yeah Red your right we saw all we needed from the fully detailed 10 sec video. My question is why didn't we see the whole video? Is it because they didn't want us to see what really happened with the person in question? I would say that hearsay you are claiming from the point is the Paul Harvey version of the story.

Not exactly video so everyone could see what happened for ourselves....if these accusations were true, one would think the attorneys would've subpoenaed the video for proof so everyone could see "the rest of the story".

Why didn't the company show us that video???? I think we have pretty good idea from the court transcripts why.

The company DID show the video...it was accusations from the "other side" claiming otherwise...aren't you always asking for "proof" of accusations....wasn't it you who said, "there are a lot of clowns on here who say just about anything and can't prove anything they say to be true..."??

No they didn't they showed about 10 seconds and cut it off right at the point in question. So I will ask again why didn't we see the whole video? ? From testimony under oath we know why.

No, they showed the video that backed up their claims....the "other side" hasn't shown any PROOF of their claims.

These are the same California Courts that acquitted OJ and the officers in the Rodney King trails!!!
More like Kangoroo Court!!

Maybe your not privy to the transcripts but there was more than 1 person that testified on this matter, they all said the same thing. Some of the people were not on either side, i guess all these people lied. Do you know how pathetic you sound at times? What claims did they back up with there 10 second video?

Do you not realize how many people "testified" during the OJ and Rodney King trials?? Do you not remember the defense also presented video in the King trial?? Oh wait, that may have been before your time.
Did you not watch the video during your pre-shift?
