He's a fool if he shows you his balance, being the leech you are, you'll be on his doorstep claiming to be his long lost at birth twin brother with your hand out demanding he support you and your bad habits. Just sayin'....

How do you change the amount you're contributing to your 401K? I'm currently at 3%, but I'd like to bump it up to at least 5 or 6 without waiting 3 years.

You're not saying you have $50,000 in the FedEx pension are you? That seems odd that it's more than twice the amount of what I actually have and I've been in its since the beginning and 5 years additional with my time at Viking.

Dottie, I have $65,000 in mine. 37.25 years service. It's based on years of service, age and actual time spent (hours worked). If you're a slacker, oh well.

Contributions to your plan are based on these. ST has more than me with my 30 years of service.

My boss tries to convince everyone to put in a minimum of 6% so you max out their benefit.

That was my thought... Why would I leave that 2% on the table. I'm taking everything they're giving.

Sure I am. Like others have said, it’s based on variables such as age, years of service, etc and that determines at what percentage of your income is put in on our behalf...the higher percentage of a higher gross income produces a higher amount in your fund. :1036316054:

So when, not if, cspf goes broke how good will the partial payment be? Oh yeah I'm not counting on Fred's pension, it is not even in my retirement plans.
