T Force just reported an 8% REDUCTION in bill count for Q 3 the LTL revenue dropped more than $100 million
If customers wanted a union carrier that was their opportunity to move business to T Force. They did initially but moved it away to better carriers.

Puff, so far as I can tell the customer really doesn't care if the carrier is unionized or not. They care about getting their freight to destination in a timely manner, undamaged, complete, and at their lowest possible cost. Some variations? They might pay a little more for better service, but not much more.

A small percentage absolutely does care. Some traffic managers and smaller mom and pop shippers won't do business with union carriers wherever they are paying the freight, period. They've had their freight caught up in strikes and bankruptcy's before and they want to minimize that risk. On the other hand there are some that will only do business with union carriers because of their ideology.

There are Teamsters that won't shop at WalMart, while there are others who have recently found themselves applying for a job with WalMart.

O'Brien took the stand with Yellow that should've been taken years ago, but Jr. Hoffa was to cowardly. It's shameful that some people think that union members at other LTL companies should have their work rules, medical benefits and pension contributions become negotiable, because of Yellows constant concession requests . If people need to blame someone put it where it belongs, Dollar Bill and Jr. Hoffa!
