Fleet ordered to pay $20k to driver who refused to drive

"Oak Harbor Freight Lines, Inc. was ordered for a second time in the last two years to stop retaliating against drivers who refuse to drive when they feel too ill or fatigued. The company suspended the driver, who has 25 years experience, without pay for saying he didn’t feel well enough to drive."

Mr. Casey is just wrong, and manipulating numbers. Can we imagine the number of trucks on the road, if they were still limited to 96" wide and 40 or even 48' long?

"The case stems from a 2008 injury suffered by the driver. He hurt his back on the job and was prescribed pain medication that prevented him from operating a truck, according to court documents. He wasn’t able to drive again until July 2009, when he was cleared by his doctor to return to work. It was then he saw that Prime had submitted negative information about him to DAC."

Feds approve 1,000 applications for drone flights

"The exemptions were granted this week under a section of federal law that allows the Transportation Department to wave requirements for FAA approval for drone flights that are operated outside of restricted airspace and below 200 feet.

The FAA said in a statement that the exemptions were part of a "continuing effort to safely expand and support commercial unmanned aircraft operations in U.S. airspace."
