I was laid off on a letter from Yellow Freight in late 2008. Called back in a letter from Roadway in Feb 2009. Resigned Yellow Feb 24 2009 rather than report to YRC 3/9/2009. My CSPF payout is projected at the full rate. Beyond that March date they are reduced.
This is an article from 2019 talking about a wage reduction in 2009.

A tentative contract would give Teamsters at YRC Worldwide carriers an 18 percent wage increase over five years, but still leave wages lower than at competing carriers.www.joc.com

Must have been while I was laid off? One thing I know- I got out with full pension payouts...
Hopefully Hoffa will take Ernie with him when he retires! I know that a lot of the blame for bad contracts go to the NO voters, but poor negotiating and a Union that tells you it is the best deal you are going to get have to be partially responsible. If you’re after COLA, pension contributions, hourly wage, health care adjustments… just remember, the next contract is in your hands to be negotiated. Don’t spoil it if you’re not currently happy. Good luck to all of you.
What terminal found a new hire?new hires are ignorant and the pension is not an issue for them, they don't care.the division between low tier and higher tier wages has made some new people happy to see older employees screwed over. we have a little time to educate these people, it is a tall order as a few older employees constantly rub the pay rates in new hire faces. big picture is hard to convey to those with small picture complaints.

We had one in training until he hit a pole. What terminal found a new hire?
Think you're right on. The 1% accrual went in effect in 2003, I believe. "Yellow Zone " action. At Central States we have a 1% accural. So they presently contribute 21.30 per day . 21.30 x 5 =106.50. 106.50 x 52=5538 or 55.38 per month per year accural. Pretty sure that is how it works .
Damn, 8 more forking years of you!Central States told me that retirement will be the same until 2023 for Yellow employees at 80% at 62 and 100% at 65.
2023 it could be changed in contract negotiation so guess they’re stuck with me for 8 more years at 65 because we know the sheep are scared.
More like re-hire!!!What terminal found a new hire?
